The Director, Marketing (“Center of Excellence”) is a key leader in the Mobile Dealer marketing and sales organization, and oversees and manages all paid and owned media channels advancing Mobile Dealer Communication’s goals and objectives. There are 6 distinct accountabilities in this role:

Ad Tech/Mar Tech
2. Vendor Management (both agency of record and direct media
partners)
3. Media Segment Strategy & Performance
4. Media Channels and Strategy
5. Budget/Operational Expense Management
6. Overall team and Mobile Dealer organizational leadership
The Media Director will be
responsible for making Mobile Dealer’s considerable media investment into a
powerful strategic advantage, as it faces an ever-growing field of competitors
and media complexity. Media channels such as: programmatic display, online
video, connected TV, online radio, native advertising, paid social media, paid
mass media, owned cable TV

Responsibilities:
- Marketing Technology platforms, partners, and roadmaps
- Forms strategic partnerships/allegiances with top media partners and partners that enable more efficient media operations
- Establishes platform/tactic investment strategy across all paid media formats and owned TV inventory.
- Determines the optimal media mix strategy for full funnel, brand and demand media in partnership with the attribution media partner
- Programmatic media strategy and capabilities to sequentially market to customers across the full funnel shopping experience and their subsequent lifecycle with Mobile Dealer
- Drives media operations to promote agility, accuracy and efficiency throughout the end-to-end targeting and trafficking process
- Partners with web operations team establishing media tagging strategy and Mobile Dealer.com tag placement for media performance
- Leads all digital media campaign planning in partnership with the new customer and current customer strategy teams
Establishes the media operations framework both internally and externally
- Accountable for management of media agency relationship
- Partners with media agency and attribution partner to develop separate and comprehensive online media reporting for current and non-customers and segments therein
- Establishes roles and responsibility framework across new customer and current customer strategy teams for all media tactics
- Establishes operational framework for testing, innovation and evaluation of new media strategies, partners, and tactics
- Establishing the retargeting marketing strategy and operations across partners and web experiences
- Oversees all media planning and partners with agencies and internal partners to establish holistic media and campaign plans from a digital first perspective
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of related work experience with increasing levels of supervisory and leadership responsibility
- Seven or more years work experience leading mass and digital media operations, teams, and agencies
- First-hand experience managing website and media tagging, website design, landing pages, and user experience flows
- In depth understanding of the marketing technology space, and proven track record innovating and advancing marketing technologies across organizations
- Established, seasoned, and proven matrix management skills given need to “deliver via others” up and down the organization. Has high comfort in leading direct and indirect reports
- Superior business acumen and polished presentation skills
- Consumer centric – experienced in innovation and or shaping subscription services; has drive and passion for understanding customer needs and trends
- End-to-end thinker who has traction of strong operations skills – from Sales, Marketing through Service Delivery
- Proven vendor / partner management skills, focused on portfolio and operational deliverables
- BS/BA highly desired
